What does it mean to boost saturation?

Dawn,
It just means to increase the vibrancy of color. You usually lose a little bit with the initial photo, but even more when you convert an image to jpeg (one of the accepted formats for the web). I increase the saturation to what I think it would look like in person (sometimes I boost it a little more to really bring out the color, but I try to stay true to what it looked like with the nekkid eye).
